Hmmm. Maybe you should "give" him one of your sold out kits so that he can say nice things about it like the other products he often proclaims about?

Oh wait... I get it now.

But you said "I think". I also "think" that is the turbo, would just like official confirmation that it IS.

EITHER way, I don't care much. I'm happy with what the kit is making @ 5psi. I'm just waiting for finances to get in order to order it. :happy0180:

Anyone with a manual transmission purchasing a transcooler?? If so which brand..... I was thinking of running the stock clutch on this vehicle till it eventually gives up due to the extra power of the turbocharger. Then ill upgrade my clutch, should i upgrade it from the start or it doesnt matter??

Not worth it. People with 4x4 trucks sometimes use manual transmission coolers, they heat them up a lot. Road going cars like these, even ones you would track race it really isn't necessary at all. Just run a GOOD gear fluid that can take a lot of heat like Motul Gear 300 or Amsoil or something.

Clutch you can wait, especially if you are going to be replacing the flywheel at the same time as that is the only thing you can really damage by having a clutch slip to much. It would just be annoying to install your brand new turbo kit, than your clutch starts slipping immediately.

Ok, thanks for clarifying that, appreciate it. So your saying after i install the turbo kit, just upgrade the flywheel and leave the clutch stock?

No, the only thing you can hurt by NOT changing the clutch is the face of the flywheel. If your clutch starts slipping you can overheat the flywheel discoloring it and warping the face.

I would change both as soon as you can afford.

Not yet, haven't found a nearby gas station with 93. May have to make do with some 92 and mix in some 100 to bring the octane up. Keep in mind the figure we put out on 92 octane w/10 ethanol wasn't a power tune, but a safe basemap figure.

Turbocharger is an 18G, or at least, a variant of such.

Ross used the 93 base map on his BRZ in Japan and ran it at the track on 94 octane. If he gets a chance, I'll see if he can run that on the dyno some time in the next week.

If you want, you can ship the kit to me, and I'll do the dyno for you. I got 93 and 94

Will you do installs/tuning on these kits? I'll need to find a NY shop for when I buy my kit. This is at top of my list but might be something else when the time comes next year.
