I guess I haven't lol. People complained about my setup when I had the frontpipe on saying they could hear me pulling up around the corner when I got to my neighborhood.

Ya I know what you mean though. They advertise exhaust by their OD. The ID changes with gauge thickness.

I have both the CB and FP. It has a presence for sure, but I definitely would not say it's loud other than on start up. I think I was still quieter than my friend's ZL1.

AFAIK pipe is generally, if not always, described by OD whereas tubing is described by ID. When Perrin, Motiv, etc. describe their overpipes as 2.5" (63.5mm) they mean OD which is roughly 60mm ID.

Speaking of relative exhaust loudness, I had a Borla UEL, Perrin overpipe, Tsudo HFC front pipe and stock cat-back and it was obnoxiously loud on cold startup but not too bad after that. Not a very nice tone or note but liveable loudness levels. Since then I had a 2.5" axle-back made using a Magnaflow muffler and cold starts are now much deeper, quieter and the overall sound is soooo much deeper and better. My next step is to have a custom 2.5" mid-pipe made with a ~22" resonator. I expect to gain some power with only a subtle change to the exhaust note.

Nope. Just to clarify (before I muddy it back up again), pipe is typically specified by (nominal) ID and wall thickness (or schedule in the case of plumbing) and tubing is specified by OD and wall thickness. The purpose of pipe is conveyance of material (fluid, gases, cheese) so exhaust piping is the proper term since its purpose is gas conveyance but the auto industry chose to wander off when it comes to nomenclature vs. specification.

So yeah, exhaust piping is specified like tubing. Somehow, England is to blame.

England is to blame for every form of measurement.

It appears that I had it backwards. I was thinking about exhaust pipe vs flexible tubing rather than normal pipe vs rigid tubing.

I can't find the overpipe anywhere. I found they also make an EL header, that has a rather weird design and they refer to as racing header. I want the UEL but I want to get it with the overpipe. I already have the catback but with a resonated frontpipe, no cat.

Just wanted to bump this thread. I actually just ordered a Tsudo UEL, and it came with an overpipe, which I'm assuming is also Tsudo. Not exactly sure why? Either way, I'm not complaining.
