adjusted the clutch pedal slightly below the brake and drove it around for a few days. Readjusted to slightly above the brake pedal and I like it more.

If you guys know how hard is to adjust this on a RHD you would cry. I had the clutch 2-3mm below the brake and after awhile the clutch sometimes does not return. I moved it 2-3mm above the brake now and still feels great but would it do any damage to the spring from having it a bit too low? just curious its feels fine but im not too sure

If it will put your mind at ease, then no, I don't think it's possible to damage the spring from this adjustment. It's just a coiled piece of metal.

Trust me, I'm an engineer

Ugg... took me a few tries to get it right. First time had it WAY too low... Second time wound up back to stock... Third time was just right (I think)

I added a couple plastic washer to where the pin attaches to the clutch pedal. Kinda surprised they aren't there already, most attachment points like that have washers of some kind.

I'm a little surprised by how few turns everyone else seemed to have made. I did 6-8 full rotations and my clutch sits just slightly above my brake pedal. Maybe I had a super-high clutch from the factory, or maybe the threading is different in '14s vs '13s?

I have a '14 and I only did 1.5 turns. 2 turns was too low for me. I have to think if I did 8 rotations, my pedal would be half an inch off of the floor!

Did you spin the clevis? It's that u-shaped bracket thing. And did you make sure to loosen the nut right behind the clevis before turning?

I didn't spin the U-shaped bracket, but I did loosen the nut right behind it before turning. Oh well, it's slightly above the break pedal now and is at just the right height for me. Just wish we could get rid of some of the travel before engagement!

Thank you for this topic. I have been wanting to do it for awhile but I have been too nervous. I think the car is so much better now

However... I kind of suck so it took me over 3 hours, not 5 minutes

I've had to adjust mine a couple times and noticed the engagement is much higher after a couple drives as if it is adjusting itself right back to the stock engagement height... anyone else experiencing this?

Ok so after reading through this thread end to end I went ahead today and adjusted the clutch pedal using the cotter pin/rotate clevis method. It was a bit challenging given the width of my shoulders but I was able to get it done. I have the clutch pedal just slightly higher than the brake. Stock it was a good 1/2 - 3/4" higher than the clutch pedal. This being my first manual it was a big of challenge to get used to that motion but now, WOW the difference is immense. It took three full turns of the clevis to get the clutch positioned where it now is. My girlfriend and I went for a nice jaunt around the local area afterward to try it out and wow, what a difference. Haven't even had it a week and that just turned my skill level up immensely. Thanks so much for this.

Bump with a question: Do you guys think it would be a good idea to adjust the clutch back to normal height before getting it checked out for service by the techs at a dealer?

Would they care that the height of engagement was lowered at all? (Because it is quite a significant difference after changing it)

Great 'mod' for the car by the way.. To anyone who is still hesitant or putting off doing it, go do it! It's very easy as long as you follow the video guide.
