Finished mine, I stalled the first time leaving my driveway lol, neighbor even saw. I just wasn't used to the very low grab point.
I absolutely recommend doing this mod, i feel like i'm driving a whole new car, and have more control of my shifts. |

Did this right now. So much easier to drive! Should have done it sooner.. Thank you for the DIY and the video. Made much more sense after watching the video.
I pushed the seat the way back and went in to the pedal area diagonally, backwards. Resting the back on the door sill. |

Just hit 9500 miles, and did this.
Thank god I did. It's worth it, back agony or none. |

So after about 18k miles with this adjustment my clutch pedal spring is now no longer fully pushing the pedal completely in the up position. I first noticed the issue the other day when i pushed in the clutch to shift and as I lifted my foot I felt the thump of the pedal returning to the fully up position. It fully disengauges so it isn't riding the clutch at all but it is not rising off the sensor that lets your cruise control know you aren't pressing the clutch, and the gear inidicator doesn't display the gear unless i lift the pedal up with my foot. It will stay there once manually lifted but the spring seems to be tired and can't fully pop it into the up position.

Damn bro you've got a lot more miles than me now haha.
How far down is your pedal? try moving it closer to just right above the brake pedal; being that the spring is feeling worn in, the minimal clutch travel may be overwhelming the lesser tension from the spring now; also, most people who posted seem to like the feel of that pedal position the best; personally mine still sits slightly Lower; though I haven't driven 18k miles yet like you have. Yeah mine is slightly below the brake pedal as well and I feel like that offers the best clutch pedal feel and allows for smooth driving but I may back it out some due to the fact that with the ACT clutch it has be adjusted back out. I drive a lot man, I will be putting 500+ miles on it this weekend driving out to Cali.

Nice! you got the new clutch in man; can't wait to see the finished build. On a side note, it may be that the worn-in spring is not able to push up on the cruise sensor button (being that it is at the top/end of travel); when you first did the pedal adjustment & we talked about it, I think you said you never adjusted the sensor inwards. Though if you do make the sensor adjustment just refer to my OP post on pulling back on the pedal while screwing in the sensor; so that it doesn't end up always riding your clutch.
LMK how it works out man & probably see you otw to Cali, I'm headed there with my girl this weekend too. Quote:

I didnt know that you had to adjust the cruise sensor. that may be the issue, and not the spring. |

Yea man, most people on this thread did not have to because they kept their height above the brake pedal; but for those, like you & me, who adjusted below the brake pedal, the clutch pedal barely makes it back up to the cruise switch that also controls the gear indicating function; adjust your sensor in & let us know if that works

Well the issue just started and my gear indicator/cruise has been working so I don't think the issue is the switch, I think its just the fact that the spring can't push it far enough up. I'm just gonna adjust the pedal some back to even or slightly higher than the brake pedal. |

Either way, yeah - it would be a good idea to adjust the switch regardless, but get that return spring checked out first. |
