You could have some uneven pad material build up on your rotors. That's the most likely cause anyway.

I found the Hawk pads to be no good. After 7 or 8 laps on track they started fading. I switched to Powerstop Track Day pads. I'll test them out tomorrow. Got a track day at Willow Springs. Got some HPS 5.0 for sale cheap.

Pulsation still present. Bought a runout gauge and found there was a fair amount of runout - can't remember the #'s, but it was out of spec - so either warped or thickness variation. I replaced the rotors and the pulsation went away, but came back after another 3 weekends. I've added some brake cooling to see if that keeps it from happening again. |
