Chuckle... when you say involved, not with the development no (there are others that carry that torch), but I guess you could say I've mostly taken over the role of creating definitions for the past two years or so. I've also been actively involved in digging out features that were available on other platforms (like COBB's AP) and implementing them for open source.

Sorry I've got to get bifocals, you know quite a bit about these cars. What is your opinion on the stability/risk with ECUflash as is stands today?

There's quite a number of people who've used it successfully on here - also, Mikey contacted me last week, they are about to issue a new release, which I'm hoping has implemented the proprietary Ecuflash kernel. This will definitely make flashing easier, and faster. It's not for everybody I guess, but I like the freedom that a completely open platform offers. |

Don't count on it. He has not updated defs in a very long time. In fact I would not ever expect another update from epifan.

Thanks man, so now the question becomes is it used to create a target load / airflow value or is it just for fueling. I can play around with it a bit this weekend. Should be easy enough to figure out now.

im out the door to work right now, but ill take some shots when i get home tonight. if you wanter lower idle speed adjust idle tables A and B in the 1700 values to 1400 for example. im trying my post start idle ignition timing at 0 right now, and it seems to not have any benefit, ill probalby go back to -8 next time i flash, just to be on the safe side as we cant yet adjust the retarded injection.

sorry, i didnt realize it was so blurry. its actually 0, but -8 dosnt sound any louder, so i think its a safer bet since its thats much closer to factory. and correct, for the maf just copy the values from the lower rows.

people are so technical :] lol (i say that in a great way). Just tap the accelerator right after you start and it will idle normal and it wont be doing high revs and let it sit till it gets to idle operating temp. TA-DA! LMAO of course i have no idea if thats bad but it shouldnt be as long as you wait a lil longer for the warming up. no i dont do this everyday its just something i stumbled upon. One day before work (tired as hell) i when to start my frs in the garage and reversed her outside as if i was going to work ( i was still in my boxers, yeah that tired lol) then realized i still needed to get dressed for work so i stopped on my driveway and let it warm up and it was normal idle not the high revving cold start. lol
