No. But it's pretty furious.

Um, isn't that kinda like saying it'll run 8 second quarter miles...

...once it has 1000+ hp?

In the lines of fast, i would say no. Is it fast enough to have fun and do what you want it to do? yes

Also here's the first thing wikipedia says about the term 'sports car"

"A sports car (or sportscar or sport car) is a small, usually two seat, two door automobile designed for performance driving and maneuverability."

There was a time, late 20th century I believe, when 200 hp b18's in our integras were the gold standard of the tuner scene. The original Z had about 140hp and was fun as hell. The original USDM AE86 had about 90hp, and the hi comp ae86 had 130hp. 200 hp is perfect for learning RWD without killing yourself. Once you get good, add tires, brakes, and suspension and become faster still.

As stated above it is better to start off with more of a drivers car. Learn how to drive fast properly, rather then have a high hp car that out performs you and teaches you bad habits. I have had many different cars and had a chance to pit crew on various race teams. I will say I have more fun with my b16a crx on a road course then my modded Sti. This is due to I have to focus and drive the car to the max, for momentum cars to be fast it takes a better driver. As you get better, you modify the car and are able to push each new mod and gain speed. Mods will carry more meaning this way and then once you get that super fast car you will be able to push it much further. I only wish I had this car earlier on in my driving career.

It's fast enough. 200 hp in 2700 pounds-not bad.

In response to vz 86 the 4th Gen v6 only had 200 horsepower and weighed 3400 lb.s making the frs faster my 4 the Gen z28 has 330 horse and weighs 3500 lbs. The 5 Gen weighs 4200 lbs which is a pig something not lost on a lot of camaro fans which is why I have the frs also now

Best situation...

random person: Is it fast?
You: Nope.... (followed by a big grin)

Let them guess how serious you are.

why do people act like fast and quick arent synonomous?

you could always just ask them an equally ambiguous question and then both sit there in silence as you think endlessly in circles about these pedantic differences in dialect rather than what the car is or isnt.
