I think the ride quality of your friend's car is directly related to his shocks getting damaged during the install. The the Pro-Kit is the most basic and introductory sport spring that is engineered for everyday comfort and performance.

My service department decided to replace my shocks, so I'm going to make sure its not a installation problem this time. Shit happens so whatever.

The tool is a special tool from Toyota that is needed. It will not come with the Pro-Kit or Sportline kit.
