[quote=Toma;1069385]So when "you" can do SD, its like magic, wow, gotta have it, play it up!!!
But Unichip does it, and we get a cynical "wow, SD, way to go"?? Man, have you thought about used cars sales? Quote:
Ecutek has had SD since day one, and it's sucked since day one..they finally rewrote it so it should be all good now. John |

I don't use SD on all the cars I tune.. And the cars I have to use it on I make do.. I'm not sure what you mean by prove itself... Prove what? The serval 500 and 600whp BRZs that are running with ecutek ?? Prove that ? Lol You gotta use what you have , sometimes it's not perfect.. EcuTeks flatfoot shifting wasn't perfect ether.. One of the dealers had them make some changes.. Their suggestion was a good idea. Hopefully the mods can move all these posts into that other thread your moaning in.. What YOUR doing isn't fair to the unichip guys John |

This belligerent nonsense infecting a dozen+ threads now isn't aiding the community whatsoever, and is making everyone involved look childish. Stick to the selling points/pros of what you prefer, and stop finding new threads to throw mud in. The last post in this thread was 5-24 before you posted Toma. Did we really have to bring yet another BRZedit vs EcuTEK pissing match to the top of the forum list? EVERYONE is aware of the point you're trying to make Toma. There's a myriad of threads to choose from now. You're not winning people over, you're pushing them away. I have friends that are new to the forum, and their first impression is this shit. "Looks like another cz28 forum." I joined this forum because of the camaraderie and everyone willing to help each other out---not for incessant negativity and high school drama/trolling.

So this fits right in, you were trying to tout features that not only don't work right, and aren't even necessary "in favour" of your preferred product, Ecutek. So your bluff got called. Got anything real? LOL, anyway, have a good night, I do have to go put some work into my Outlaw 8.5 Mustang

I know it seems like I'm biased here, but I respect your willingness to share your opinions and knowledge. I just think we can do it more constructively. Yes there was some useful information to be gleaned out of the last dozen posts---but most of it seemed more like personal attacks. I know there are two sides to every story, I just don't want to see this community devolve into bullshit like 90% of the automotive forums I've been involved with in my life. I hope neither of you took offense.

First off I hate piggy-hacks from past experience. Having said that, does Unichip permit the sustainable open loop AFR enrichment so desireable for NA apps and necessary for FI apps? I spoke with Unichip previously and was told that they could do this but also that they lack the Denso O2 sensor signal skewing necessary to accomplish the task. There are only two ways to sustainably enrich closed loop AFR on a Denso ECU.
1) Skew the O2 signal to read lean 2) Change the target AFR value in the ECU lookup table Any other method will be tuned out by the ECU using long term fuel trim. My last Denso ECU (2008 Scion) was so stubborn to enter open loop that my journal bearing T3/T4 was making 5psi in closed loop. I'm sure that this FA20 ECU is no different and that CL enrichment is needed. BTW, I used a Split Second Enricher to provide closed loop enrichment to ~12.3:1 on my XB and it worked perfectly. The AEM FIC also does a fantastic job of O2 signal modification but it had too many issues with crk and cam sensor signals so I ditched the FIC and ran stock ECU, 20% larger inj's, SSE and 93 octane for a perfect "tune". So at the risk of drawing much ire for necro posting but I figured it's worse to start a new thread. Since it has been a few months now, I was wondering if there has been any new updates to Unichip in the way of forced induction support or is that just a pipe dream? I tend to prefer to spend money once so I won't be doing intake/exhaust mods that doesn't directly support turbo or super charging (haven't decided which way).

Wrong forum. There is a software and tuning forum.

Isn't this thread about Unichip and Ecutek? I figured since Unichip was being represented in this thread, it would make the most sense to ask here since there still seems to be some misunderstandings about the full capabilities of unichip. I wouldn't mind hearing directly from Unichip about it since it is an ever evolving product.

Surprised to see my thread still alive. When I made it there was no software and tuning forum, it was made way after the creation of this thread lol.
