Personally, I like to use Krylon Fusion Paint. It's practically made for an application like this. No primer, no sanding. Designed to fuse to finished plastic surfaces. I've used it on headlights in the past with the same success. It masks off well too, if you're thinking of leaving chrome accents.

I used screws and nuts to bolt the new projector into place (tied floss to the end of the screws so that I could pull them through the holes I drilled in the DRL housing). Here are some pics, this was while I was mocking it up before I painted it chrome.

Hope that helps. I love trying to do something unique. But it can be effing freaky to mess with a brand new car!
from my understanding, it loooks like you use the front half of the projector only and not the base.. and use the stock reflectors to beam out the the new projector lense, am I right?

You dont have to remove the side markers.
If you use a flat object ( i used the handle of a screwdriver) and put it on the top of the push pin you can undo the pin without removing the reflector.
Doing it this way i didn brake anything and it reinstalled easily.

Correct. The stock reflector under the projector is still silver. But the rest is blacked out. They aren't as bright anymore, but they're just DRLs anyways. They still turn on with the high beams, but the bi-zenons are so good that they are unnecessary.

In the middle of installing my leds now. Paint is going on as well. Body shop already had the bumper off so I had them give me the headlights.

How did you wire them in, switch, highbeam, lowbeam? Thinking of having the dealer disable the drl and running these as them instead.
