We are in the process of importing the kit and will have it added to the online store in not too long. While many of the SC kits out there are good in their own right, this setup is pretty unique and has a lot of good points that you'd only appreciate when you're working on it (uses stock airbox, easy to assemble, dual laminova cores...) For the price its at given today's exchange rate, it is very competitive with Edelbrock and the rest.
@moto-mike I'm curious how you guys came up the tune for this kit?
Did you start from scratch, from your own base tune, or a base tune provided by Harrop?

Also what type of sensors are attached to the intake manifold post supercharger?
There's two wires which I assume might be for manifold pressure and air temp. I've been looking at my ecutek logs, trying to work out if it's possible to monitor pre and post supercharger air temps, but not sure where to look.

In terms of weight does the kit feel heavier, lighter, or the same compared to the Edelbrock?

I'd guess it's similar to the Edelbrock and have IAT sensor combined with the MAP. This will still be logged in ECUtek as Intake Air Temp. Pre-Charger you may as well just log ambient temperature, it uses the OEM airbox so the IAT sensor in that should read around ambient as long as you're not in traffic.

I really like the look of this kit! I would be curious to see a comparison of this and the Edelbrock.

We use EcuTek RaceROM custom maps for timing, and MAF/hybrid SD for fueling. Since our timing map is a high resolution pressure based map, it isn't subject to airflow calculation errors (i.e. stock load based mapping). From an OEM standpoint that works well, but the pressure based timing maps at high loads works much better for custom setups with forced induction. Then it is a matter of altering the timing and cam timing curves to suit the application. Because we've worked with every combo of SC out there, we know with a good degree of accuracy what it will need without ever touching it. This kit we were done in under 2 hours on the dyno from what I recall, that included doing it on both pump and e60. But once we set the MAF scaling it was 90% of the way there.

FYI we added this kit to the online store: http://www.moto-east.com/store/harro...6-brz-frs.html and the pricing after AUD conversion is insanely good.

VS Edelbrock? VS xyz SC? I really don't want to comment there, but we have found nothing about this SC kit that was anything but excellent. They dyno charts and the price can do the talking here. Even came in a plastic crate to ensure the freight company couldn't mess it up.

So I thought I wanted the Edelbrock kit, but having just checked the the exchange rate between US$ and Aus$ it is around $575 cheaper for me
I am also assuming shipping will be similar for both, and import duties will definitely be similar.
(Cosworth's price just takes it out the running).

Wondering if there is any reason to still consider the Edelbrock unit - I don't care about CARB or emissions

Side note: Mike how does this thing compare to the big Sprintex blower you've been toying with? (Both quality and power delivery)

Any chance you guys could post up some installation manuals from this kit? Possibly a pdf? I'm interested in how the install compares with the edelbrock. Both seem super clean and simple but a peek under the hood would be much appreciated.

Are you the only guys in the US importing this kit? Haven't seen anyone else on this yet which is crazy cuz it's amazing!

It's a different kit so hard to compare, nor did we put the smallest pulley on the harrop kit to see what it'll do. Either way you'll need a built motor to get the most out of each blower.

We don't have any pdfs to reference, but it is pretty straight forward and the instructions are good. I'd say it is pretty similar as the other kits.

I've been seriously considering the Edelbrock kit, but this is there too, would love to see some real comparisons, on similar dynos/conditions/supporting mods, etc, also the install process. Do these have a warranty like the Edelbrock?

In terms of looks, this one wins in how low the charger sits and in the shape; it almost looks like a v6/v8 and just clean; and the low height makes it look like strut towers will work. But it has those ugly tubes running from the front, and I just have a feeling that the Edelbrock kit is a better design.

The Edelbrock kit looks clean too, but sits high so strut towers don't seem to be an option, and because it sits high, it isn't a tight package, but it does have a cleaner look without having those cooling lines, also cleaner with the straight intake pipe and the larger filter. Overall, the Edelbrock has the better setup, in terms of looks and cleanliness, again, IMO.

I have modest goals for when I finally go FI, but when I do I will need to go CARB legal, so this kit is out. If I wasn't going CARB legal then TURBO! because TURBO! I was a Supra owner at one point, so I feel TURBO! biased. I know there is a CARB legal turbo kit, but I don't like the rear mount turbo and top mount cooler, and in general I am not a fan of the front mount kits that are not CARB legal; I like something that looks clean too.

But...if this kit was CARB legal, and if it had a clean large intake like the Edelbrock kit and if the cooling lines were fixed then this would be the kit of kits. Probably the cleanest looking, and one of the best performing.

My solution would be to make a bracket that goes in the front of the cooler lines and essentially ''L'' routes the lines cleanly off the side, so it hides their existence. Essentially it funnels the fluid inside a chamber versus running hoses across the top of the engine. Seems like an aesthetic no brainer.
