225/45/17 will fit nicely on those rims. I think a 235/40/17 will fit but, they might be a bit wide. Are you just looking for tires for daily driving or something more track oriented?

Go 225/45R/17 I run that on stock tires. The sidewall sticks out past the rim a little already so I don't think it would be safe to go any wider.

Go with 225/45/17. They fit on your stock wheels now and will also fit wider wheels when you upgrade.

Thanks!!! Can you recommend a brand? Might even keep the stock on front they do well on the wet road. Went 80mph down interstate in heavy rain, felt stable and in control.
