BP3D competition, on our way to the championship
On our quest for the Super Production Challenge championship, we managed to get two 3rd place at the Ted Powell Memorial weekend at Calabogie Motosport Park in Ontario.
Both front runners were way too fast for our young developped car so we had no chance to catch them up but third place was on target and we achieved it on this one hour race which was split in 2 at the mid portion. We are currently leading the championship with 1067 points compared to 967 for the second. We were able to finish all our races which wasn't the case for our closer opponents, sometimes to win a championship you must first finish and this is what we did really well this season. There is one weekend left in october and we hope to do well to be crowned champion. We would like to thank Perry Performance for it's support as well as Racecomp Engineering and Essex/Ap Racing. ![]() ![]()

this is one of the best looking track FRS. simple and so clean ! especially when I know how clean it is inside out
nice job !I did not see you updating us on your new brake system ? last time I checked I thought you were on the stock caliper ? what pads are you running, I see that you have no brake ducts ? do you know what temp the pads are reaching ?

you can see pics of our brake setup on our build thread but basically, we are using AP racing sprint kit, we never bothered trying to use the stock calipers.
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...3d+competition We are running on really cheap tires so we didn't need any ducting, we tried hp+ at first because it did wonder on our RSX with those tires but it was really not enough with our custom brake bias setup. We are now using Hawk DTC60 but we have a set of Ferrodo waiting to be tried with a new set of bedded rotors directly from Essex. We'll see if it's better. |

good to know about the DTC60
arghh bedded rotors ! I wish I had known about that when I bought my kit... these are really hard to bed on the track, because they keep the temperature so low. next time I'll definitely buy a bedded set of rotors!
