I come from a very small;close knit community as my first car isn't the most common coupe around. So this is a totally new avenue for me in which I mean owning a FRS..So without further adieu a little introduction is due..My name is Chris and I stay in the county of Orange, California. I've owned my Starion for over three years now and I am completely in love, it's a challenge as parts are obsolete, but the compliments I receive most everywhere I go are well worth the fight. Plus a big displacement (2.6L) four cylinder offers much low end...the rally inspired suspension and wheel package offer great handling characteristics in part of which are similar to what the frs/brz offer (53/47) split weight distribution so I'm at home with one. She's a bit on the heavy side at just around 3100lbs but in my opinion I don't mind so much as I get the sense of being planted to the pavement when it comes to cornering and what not. Oh and it's turbo'd from the factory
as far as upgrades go the suspension, turbo, & exhaust have all been improved. Currently running her with multi port injection, full sequential ignition, and it's ran on megasquirt. This is probably the largest upgrade possible with the g54b engine and of course it's all custom as we aren't blessed with an aftermarket. Anyway onto pictures! Also for anyone's interest here's a little write up I was lucky enough to land with Gearbox Magazine Star of Orion ![]() C*ty L*ghts Bay comparison: Went from, ![]() To, ![]()

Thank you. Stock was roughly 180 bhp with torque rated at 234 ft lbs, as she sits now on a low boost tune more towards 300 bhp not sure on the torque have yet to take it to a dyno but it's definitely on the to-do list.!

I've been completely happy with the base model FR-S.
Less weight means less horsepower needed. In a 10mph (advised) corner, wads of hp won't do you much. 8) Makes for an adequate Grand Touring (GT) car. Just did one. I wasn't disappointed.

Its all about peddle control man! Aha, no but I know what you mean. I want an frs for its light weight, similar format to my car, and warranty factor. Nice to have a good running dd when I take on projects like what I'm in the middle of now. Plus I'm starting to really dig the styling and some options that I've seen other members going with.

Besides the spun bearing and broken crank pulley? Mostly because of time (lack thereof) and having 6 cars at that time..
