just went e85 with OFT tune. Want some advice on trims

hi everyone,

just flashed e85 and went on the OFT 85 stg 2 tune. Followed all the steps steve99 wrote.
still on my first tank. actually only went thru half a tank of e85.
have been driving it slow for the first 30kms.
so far have done 80kms on e85. STFT seems to be ok. LTFT are negative high only on idle or below 2000rpm decelerating.

log after 50km of e85 driving:
http://www.datazap.me/u/derka-derka/e85?log=0&data=1-11

anyone review my log see if theres anything wrong. im not any pro with tuning, still learning.

thanks heaps.

If you're on MT, it will be fine.

Your LTFT is still 0 in open loop. You DO NOT need to drive slow, you need to drive in closed loop above 20g/rev MAF (2.2 MAFV) until your LTFT settles for WOT.

You have perrin 2.5" intake ?
did you get the scaling done on petrol and were the LTFT low on petrol.?
dont worry about STFT

did you transfer maf scaling to E85 tune ?

does above mean you only filled tank half way with E85 if so it going to have a high petrol content.

are you using united E85 or caltex Eflex ?

You will get high negitive trims due high percentage of residual petrol

using united 85. i copied the perrin maf scalings from the sticky posts while on petrol, and now just copied them over to e85 tune. i filled up around 80% from complete empty. Filled up jerry cans then filled tank when i got home(united not very close to home so played safe).

once you get pure e85 in the system next fill those trims will come back towards zero a bit.

if your on united e85 you can scale the maf as its pretty consiestent blend but wait till your on second tank so itscnot diluted with residual petrol

that scaling was done by perrin and it looks like it needs a bit of tweaking.

your running rich high rpm so its safe and no knock , once you get that scaling sorted will be fine

as wayno said do a couple of light steady throttle (15-20% throttle) runs in second or third to set the fuel trims go from 2000 to 6000 ecu only learns trims in closed loop mode ie partial steady throttle.
