In an attempt to reverse my hijacking the thread on the first reply, I wouldn't trust myself parking that close while backing up. Going forward and at speed I feel comfortable getting within inches of objects, but in reverse I forget how to wheel.

Always park next to walls/pillars and always park as close to them as possible... Even if it means slowly squeezing through my door

I trust my abilities getting in and out of parking spots more than people who wouldn't mind slamming their doors or belongings on other people's cars lol.

I carry 4 Orange cones and "Police Line Do Not Cross" tape everywhere I go. Seems to keep the Riff-Raff away.
