And if the piston area would be anywhere close to maintain some semblance of stock balance.

Have you asked Endless?
The thought of the internet trying to walk someone through a custom brake caliper fitment scares me to no end. In the end you're probably better off financially buying a kit made for this car regardless... Not to mention guaranteed results. Even the AP kits sharing a caliper are cheaper to sell/buy vs changing out the different parts. C |

My car:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49454 I only ended up using these because the 2002 WRX and the BRZ share same front caliper/pad sizes when I use other aftermarket big brake kits as a reference. The big thing for me was I had to flip the caliper upside down, but it was only possible because the bleeder and fluid transfer lines use the same thread pitch on the caliper. In your case, unless the IS350 had the same size stock front calipers and the brake bias was the same as what is found on our car, I'd advise against just using "custom brackets". Don't forget the PCD is completely different as well. -alex |

why not just sell that to another IS owner and then buy yourself an FRS/BRZ-specific set?

Most other native BBKs are way cheaper though. And they will certainly be upgrade, unlike something blindly assembled with risks from part bins. Brakes are certainly not something i'd be willing to play with luck, even in very worst and slowest consumer blandmobiles.
