Arrival date!

So my VON# has finally become a VIN#, and my LR Limited is slated to arrive June 2!

Anyone have any tips as to what I ought to know/bring/ask for when I go to pick it up?

Thanks!

Tell the dealership to not add any dealer options or other stuff like decals showing the dealership name or license plate frames or other garbage. I didn't buy the car to be a billboard for your dealership.

That's what grinds my gears.

Hate that shit. I hate the new thing where they put the dealer name on the trunk lid in the same kind of silver 3D lettering as the model name of the car.

My dealership thankfully put no stickers on mine

These, definitely these. Car looks so much nicer without those whack things.

I made sure when purchasing my car to tell the salesperson to not put any dealer stickers on the trunk and to not drill holes on the bumper. I can live with the dealership license plate frame for the back.

Is that something that happens on new cars? I only ever see those for used car lots. I would be livid if that happened to mine. I didn't mind the license plate frame on the back as they were cool about not drilling holes in my bumper. It turned into my grimmspeed one pretty quick anyways.

When i got my permanent car license plate, the first thing i did was to remove the dealership frame

Make sure to check the windows for any scratches, i heard that many new cars (not only subarus) are coming with windows scratches , mine was one of them

Tell them to not wash it, and to leave the covered plastic.

Actually most dealers, well, hopefully all of them, have to take off the white plastic/paper covering off the car before receiving them to check for damage during shipping. Otherwise if they don't they have to accept liability when it gets to the customer and dealerships don't want that.

There's no way around it.

Washing on the other hand is not an issue, if you don't want it, you don't need it, but if you get the car within a day or two of delivery, they won't anyway, it's still clean enough after removing the protective covering.

I took their stickers and plate frame off right in front of them. Snapped the plate frame in half and asked the sales guy to find a home for it.
