rev matching... only with tuning?

Ok. I've been reading through threads and saw posts that the twins only rev match with a tune like ecutek or oft. Well my stock tune '13 10 series DOES rev match... Can anybody clarify for me? Is this a 10 series thing? Am I misunderstanding rev match (under load the revs raise a few 100 rpm between shifts up and down clutch fully depressed no throttle)? Sorry for the kinda noob question. First time modding anything close to a new car. Btw car was purchased brand new 13 miles on the clock.

Rev match is usually a couple thousand RPM, not a few hundred. What I'd guess you're seeing is when the clutch is disengaged, the load is reduced, so the engine briefly revs slightly higher.

I don't notice it at lower revs, but I can hear it blip slightly higher when I'm shifting at over 4k RPMs.

Rev matching is when you down shift and you blip the throttle to match where the RPMs will be in the lower gear.
Your car doesn't have auto-blip unless it's an auto or used with a tune left on it. But you said your car was new, so that's not likely.

OP, I think I may know what you're talking about.

When sitting in my driveway with the clutch in I noticed that when I put the shifter in any gear, especially reverse the revs raise a few hundred RPM. I posted up here about it because I had never seen a car do this before, and the response was that this is part of the stock ECU programming.

It's not rev matching, it sense more of an "anti-stall"

Just feels like Rev matching but it does it for you automatically with the oft
