tpms sensor not sitting flush/flat on wheel

After a bit of time using google and the search function I was not able to really find anything about this issue I am having.

I have aftermarket wedssport sa-10r wheels, with a brand new set of oem tpms sensors i purchased. I noticed that there is a bit of a fitment issue, the tpms sensor does not sit flush/flat against the wheel at all.

I can't imagine this being safe for the sensor when the tire is mounted onto the wheel. is this normal? what are some good workarounds? or is there an aftermarket tpms sensor that would sit flush on wheels where typical tpms sensors cannot sit flush/flat against a wheel?

I saw that some people suggest foam tape or what not, but the amount of gap there is for me, i'd imagine that would have to be a lot of foam tape...

stopped by a tire shop and the dealership and both said that it is normal for tpms sensors to not be flush with aftermarket wheels and shouldn't really impede any function of tpms..etc?

It's fine. No need to be flush as long as tire mounts over it properly.
