RSR Sport-I settings

The "moto spec" recomended damper settings for the Sport-I coilovers is full soft. I was just curious if this was what owners are using on their cars or if there is a consensus that another setting is better? Most owners seem to be within 4 or 5 clicks of full soft. I was just curious what people are finding they prefer. If you have alignment specs list those as well.

I have the Sports-i and my damper settings are right in the middle (18 clicks for front, 12 clicks for rear). A friend has them too and his are 9 from hard in the front and 6 from hard in the rear I think. We both have SPL rear lower control arms and are 1 1/4" lower than stock.

Here are my alignment specs:

@Blood

Those are really stiff settings. I spoke with RS*R USA and for the standard (Moto Spec) was told you should be running those 3 clicks from full soft. I bet yours feel really stiff atm.

It is a bit stiff, but it isn't really stiff. It's no stiffer than the 1 1/2 year old stock suspension that I replaced.

They work really well for me. I've tried full hard, full soft and just about everything in between. Full hard made the front end of the car bounce/hop like crazy on any road that wasn't perfectly smooth and level. Full soft definitely feels nice from a ride comfort perspective, but it's too close to that "normal" car feel. Right in the middle is the best of both ends of the spectrum. The ride is still comfortable, there's little to no bounce/hop on unsmooth/unlevel roads, and it still feels like a sports car.

In the end though, it's personal preference. I started at full hard, drove the car to see how it felt, moved 3 clicks in the front and 2 clicks in the rear towards soft, drove car again on the same stretch of road, rinse and repeat until it feels right. I'm putting 225/45R17 Pilot Super Sports on at the end of April (I have Michelin X-ice Xi3 tires right now, and had stock Primacy HP tires before that) so I'll be starting at full hard again to see what feels the best in the summer.
