DRL LED Replacements for gt86 headlamps / Winjets?
Hey guys,
I've noticed that the 10series/monogram/gt86 headlamps have relatively bright LED DRLs which are turned off at night or it would blind the hell out of everyone. On the flip side, Winjet DRLs are too dim for day-time use and look washed but at night time are just about right (I modded mine for always on). I always wondered how difficult it would be to replace the LEDs on either of the headlamp assemblies with a two stage LED so that when the low-beams are turned on they enter a low brightness state for night time driving. The LED DRL strips shown here can do this: ![]() Any thoughts? Maybe it would be possible to take the LEDs out of these strips and put them into the headlamps?
