Personally, I can do a lot with this info.

If you have to ask what you can do with it, you probably shouldn't be doing anything with it.

The information in the PDFs alone is enough to install a remote start, but you'd lose a key in the process. In conjunction with some data bus modules (AL-DS, FLCAN, BLADE) you can avoid losing a key and have most of the hardwiring controlled through data.

You'd also need to wire a relay (such that the vehicle thinks the clutch is being pressed during the remote start sequence) to interface with a remote start that had a manual transmission mode, (i.e. Compustar FT-6200-S or higher end Viper/Python/Clifford/Automate) systems.

Also, any information you'd need related to the audio system is included so if you're changing speakers or the headunit.

If you wanted to integrate window control modules (DEI 530T) so the windows automatically roll-up when you lock the doors, that information is there as well.

The benefit of directechs is you have a guide to wire color, wire location, and pin location but you better still use a multi-meter to verify. So for me, directechs wiring info is the holy grail of any 12v electronics person...in conjunction with my trust multi-meter I can do nearly anything, very easily.

Nice answer! They gave us three keys, so I'd happily sacrifice the buttonless one. It's chip would have to be integrated into the system?

Sounds like buying a kit would make this much easier. I'm not into hacking it.

I will agree with you on one point, not hacking it.

There are other elegant, albeit more involved, methods of completing the remote start rather than placing a key inside a box, hiding said box then running the coil around the key cylinder/ignition switch.

In conjunction with the directechs documents, properly wired relay, purchase either 2 FLCANS and mated with the appropriate Directed or First Tech remote start system you can complete a remote start; given you have the cables to program the aforementioned data bus modules.

Not sure about Texas beer, but we have some damn good breweries in California. http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/112/412

After two beers at 9%, you'll be confusing red for blue.

Why kit did you do? Manual or auto trannie?

I'd really like a remote start with windows down feature that can use the factory remote or something similar. Also, does the remote start keep the car on when you get in and drive away or do you have to put the key in and turn it on? How do you turn the car off, then?

Sorry to bump this again, but same as the other poster - do you still have these? The links on the OP won't open. Specifically the SmartKey one. Thanks!
