APR Brake Ducts
Thanks to FT86-SpeedFactory for dogging APR until they shipped it.
Easy install. Clips into stock location. It also has two bolts that need to have nuts installed from behind the wheel well. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

How are you planning on routing hoses from the ducts to a rotor backing plate to make them functional?

I meant how you were going to route the hoses specifically from the back of the ducts to the wheel wells.
I'm not aware of a way to do so from that location. I originally considered the APR ducts but there wasn't an established method of routing hoses to make them functional. I decided to get the @Touge Factory brake cooling kit which puts the ducts in the bumper opening to properly route the hoses around the radiator and into the wheel wells via the front control arms; the hoses safely clearing the wheels at full opposite lock steering angles. The APR ducts look great but routing hoses looks like a pain if not impossible, especially with the stock washer fluid tank in place. There is not enough room behind the ducts in front of the wheel well liners. Touge Factory actually tried to make it work when developing their kit but wasn't able to. |

You cut a hole in the liner and route it through.

And then have the hoses get scraped off by your tires at speed and/or while turning?

OP, please keep us updated and post pics of your hose routing when you do it. I'm very interested to see your solution.

So the idea is APR -> hose -> duct -> hose -> brake sheild

Please explain.
Most people that will be using a brake cooling kit will be running a much wider wheel and tire setup, which makes clearance between the wider tire and fender liner even smaller. The only viable way of routing a hose to the rotor if using the fog light duct was to route the hose under the car and to the control arm. Not the safest or an efficient method to route the hose. with a 18x9.5 +40 with 225/40/18 Advan Ad08, if you cut a hole in the front of the fender liner and try to route it inside of the fender well, one turn of the steering wheel will snag or rub on the hose. |

We also tried mocking up an older piece we had for our evo and even at 1.5" thick with 245 tires - we couldn't go more then about a full turn on our steering wheels before making contact. |
