205/60/16 16x7 +40 Workable?
Looking to shop snow stuff on a budget in michigan for the new brz... I searched around a lot and it was an interesting idea but couldn't find a definite topic so here goes:
From various posts, 16x7 +40 and 205/55/16 tires works. Then I noticed 205/60/16 tires are taller by an inch and are cheaper, both of which are favorable attributes. The closest forum topic has a 195 front tire: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...62&postcount=1 And for reference, Rave R20 is 16x7 +40 5x100 and General Arctic Altimax tires. Focus is on general winter driving not ultimate performance. Will there be any fitment/rubbing issues with using the larger tires on lower offset and is there any reason a taller profile would be a bad idea besides speedo.
