2015 Subaru BRZ Special Edition for Australia

I wonder how much it weighs?

from the article:
Made for the Australian market, the 2015 BRZ Special Edition adds AU$7,990 worth of extra equipment on the automatic model and AU$9040 on the manual gearbox edition for a price increment of AU$3,500 over the cost of the regular BRZ, with prices starting from AU$40,650.

I know AU doesn't get the Series Blue BRZs, so I'm guessing this is their equivalent..?

+Rear Diffuser
- Red Painted Calipers
- Blue Interior (or lack of mention of it in that article)

So... does this mean we will finally get to buy the STI short shifter from dealerships soon?

If curious about the dealer options offered by Subaru Australia, here you go http://www.subaru.com.au/build-your-own/options I did see a car with just about every option ticked and stickered at 57k AUD on the local dealers floor.

Mind you a base shity Boxter is like 107k AUD here. I still lol'd at the price though seeing as the base car is $38k and similar trim to the US base BRZ model.

Sadly Toyota Australia only offers the Nur TRD body kit for 3k Aud as its only option and then only on the top GTS model. I'll need to interrogate a local dealer, but I don't believe they stock any TRD parts at all like the CAI, Zorst, wheels etc.

Just curious, but why are people so hung up on their dealers providing these options when you can source them cheaper elsewhere like https://www.japanparts.com/?

If you have a good relationship with your dealer they might even offer to fit these parts for a nominal fee? These parts are OEM after all.

The sti wheels on japan parts alone are almost the amount of mark-up on a blue edition brz.

Because they are not the same wheels.
