Brand New FL Car Rusty Rear Exhaust

I was walking up hill to my car earlier and noticed the exhaust piping looked rusty. I bought the car brand new and have only had it for a couple weeks. Is this normal for a FL car?? I understand it wasn't built here, so it could've happened before the car was transported here.

I searched and didn't find any other threads about this ... should I be concerned or check anything else?

Nah it's normal. Mine is like that too. I believe it's from the heat.

Thanks. I'll likely replace the exhaust anyway.

unless exhaust parts are good stainless steel, they'll all rust like that. it takes over a decade for it to actually be a problem, so car companies don't spend the extra money to make the stock exhaust totally rustproof.

I'm in NY and hardly drive my car in the winter, try not to in salt and don't in snow. My axle back to piping bolts look 10 years old looking at the rust on the fasteners lol

Yep, normal for aluminized steel exhaust. FL is going to be a bit worse for rust because of the salty air as well.
