hybrid keeps up with brz?
I will tell you why I posts this in this section at the end of post. So today my wife buys a Lexus ct200h and naturally I drove it for a bit. I put it in "sport mode" and it actually had some pep mind you 0-60 is about 10sec on this car. So I got my buddy and told him to line it up with my brz.....my brz barley beat it. How in the hell could this be possible the Lexus is a hybrid with a damn CVT. I have a rev works header and a ecutek tune from tony at fa20club. Could that tune be lacking? I know in warmer temps you lose power but that would also go for the Lexus....ideas?

Hybrids make full torque more or less as soon as you put your foot down. So you have instant torque all the time.
Plus the CVT keeps it at peak torque, so of course it will pick up well. |

Define "barely beats it"... is your car automatic? If it's manual, how did you launch it?

From all the testing I can see, were about 4s faster 0-60. With a header and tune you should still be stomping it pretty handily. You need to work on your launches.

I don't launch it with the race ROM mode I go old fashioned. I know how to use the car plenty.....I do agree about the instant torque with the electric motor since its what all the new performance cars are going to.....this was a race only to 60.....I'm just asking if you guys think the tune could be off....cuz 10sec is aweful and I swear the race was lagit.

Probably due to the fact that you have an fa20club tune...but in all seriousness, I don't think that being a hybrid automatically makes a car slow.

You need to clarify, it's sounds like your car is doing 0-60 in 10 seconds with header and tune? If that's true then something is certainly wrong.
