Driver Foot Rest loose
Recently my footrest has been really squeaky/creaky. It makes a lot of noise when i put my foot there (when not shifting around). I'm not sure if anyone else has had this issue but if so what have you guys done to fix it? I haven't taken a deeper look yet to see what can be done but wanted to know if anyone has take it off or done something related to this. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

Mine squeaks as well. Although it seems to only start happening once the temperature gets colder.

Mine squeaks too. I think it is glued to the carpet so I'm not sure what can really be done to fix it. I just turn on my radio.

Mine just started recently that the weather has gotten cold. It's not a huge deal, but certainly a tad annoying. It didn't happen last winter, so i'm not sold on the notion that it'll go away in the spring/summer, but fingers crossed.

Glad I didn't squirt some WD40 on it or it would have just sunk into the carpet and stunk the car up forever.

haha mine does this also, I'll flex my foot around and it definitely moves but feels like it is mounted. I try not to think about it or mess with it too much. The few times my radio is off is the only times I notice it.

Foot rest == dead pedal?
If so, I had my dealer check it out when my car was in for the 7.5k service. They said they "adjusted the clips" and it indeed seemed better for a week or so. It's gone back to clicking/creaking when I put my foot on it though. I don't (yet) care enough about it to make a special trip back, but I'll definitely have them investigate further when I go in for my next service.

I brought this up to the dealership a while back. They brushed me off saying "it just happens", kinda like the seat warmers just conking out after a while. Didn't really pursue it further.

Mine did it and it annoyed the hell out of me. I got some 3M body tape and stuck a bit behind the pedal at the top and bottom near where the clips fasten. For whatever reason they made it with a white molded foam piece that rubs directly on metal... Now I have no more noise.
and yes, the pedal is part of the carpet... |
