Engine Swaps Available

I know it'll be a little while, but now (if the information is correct) that we know the car has the J160 transmission there's numerous engine swaps available (should they fit size-wise).
Transmission information: http://kaizenfactor.wordpress.com/20...n-or-is-scion/

Commonly in the IS200 you're looking at the 1G-GTE, 3S-GTE, 2JZ-GTE, 1UZ-FE engines. Looking at the bellhousing bolt pattern and seeing that you have the 1UZ, you have the 2UZ option, and seeing that the 3S fits the bolt pattern that opens the door for the 2GR-FSE seeing 306HP (at the wheels without all 3 cats)... sounds like that could be a killer combo in this car. The 2GR is an awesome monster in an MR2 and I can't imagine it being less fun in something like this.

Only issues I'd see coming are size of the engine compartment and probably needing a lower oil pan since the engine is so low stock... may need a hood scoop as well, but it'd be interesting to see someone piece this together and know what the options are! Unfortunately it looks like it may be a while till people do anything like this.

Why anyone would want to swap out an engine on a brand new $25,000 is beyond me but if someone's pockets are that empty, more power to them.

I'll wait for a S/C'er, Headers and Exhaust to come out and call it a day...
