silencer on muffler delete pipe
Ok, this is a very weird question, but probably a question from everyone with a race pipe muffler delete.
All race pipe muffler delete are LOUD. it's so loud that it violates my local autox 92db limit. I still want to run it because it saves lots like 20lb easily. I wanted to add a silencer on it. but seems like silencers are made for exhaust tips with 3.5" to 4" diameter only. The race pipe is only 2.5". Suggestions? |

How much over the limit are you? You could try having a small muffler spliced inline. A bolt in silencer will greatly reduce the flow and you'd probably be better off with the extra weight of the stock muffler over the greatly restricted flow with the silencer.
