I say it isn't too low. Would be interesting to bypass your oil cooler and see how it changes the results. I know that large diameter oil lines to an oil cooler can definitely hurt oil pressures.

My understanding is that smaller lines actually kill pressure.. they raise it before the cooler but drop like a rock after the cooler and larger lines don't affect it as much. Not sure though

Some of the guys in that thread match my understanding, smaller lines increase pressure before the cooler (and up to it I guess) but can't flow enough so the pressure is lower when it gets to the head(s).

Since I have no interest in buying both -12 and -8 lines to test that theory I probably won't...

I do think I might install my other sandwich plate to get an idea of the pressures immediately after the cooler.. I'm not convinced the block port is in a great place to get a true pressure.

Smaller lines increase pressure...thinking about water pipes coming to your house. Same thing.

Smaller lines increase pressure to the oil cooler, but after that when it hits the head the pressure will be lower.
