my windows have been squeaking when i close the doors (and the window advances up to get the seal). turns out it's from the window rubbing against the rubber gasket(?) along the top. is there a product that i can condition this rubber area with without getting the product onto the window itself?

Most rubber seals are good with silicon lube, just spray on cloth and wipe.

Just had it happen today myself. It only happens when rolling window down, and past 75% mark. Never happened before today...but...it's a LOUD squeal. Now I've noticed faint scratches on the window too!!! Is it worth bringing to dealership to get looked at or will using silicon lube do the trick?

Not sure if this is the same issue but sometimes, when I roll the window down, I hear a loud screeching noise, almost like a chalk board being scratched.

This isn't the same noise I described but here's what I was able to record. The really loud screeching noise turned into that in the video.

That's what happens to my windows too. When the Window touches the top seal. Doesn't happen after I clean my windows though. Weird.

Think about it...lubricating effect of whatever you're using is reducing the friction such that there's no noise. The product wears down and boom, you have noise again.
