Why N/A Subaru BRZ Comes w/ Joke Carpets

I just bought a set of used FRS carpets on eBay and pry off the FRS badges. Took a picture of the FRS carpet set to compare the BRZ carpet set we get here. It seems as if the Subaru set is for a completely different car.

If you google up pictures of LHD BRZ carpet sets in Europe, the cutout is exactly the same as the FRS set.

If someone knows how I can buy a set of LHD BRZ carpets from Europe please let me know.

Interesting, the ones on the left do look good, is that red stitching?

I use the carpets in the summer cuz I hate rubber.

The FRS carpets are way way better in quality and feel, much thicker but no hard rubber backing like the Subaru ones.

If Subaru made LHD versions of their JDM sound deadening carpet set I would have bought that already.

What? I always thought the FRS carpets sucked. Mine are already wearing away under whe you rest your feet on the pedals with only 3k miles

FRS are nice initial quality but dont last at all.

My material is worn away for both my feet on the drivers side.

I'll be looking into buying something new this spring.

All the FRS/BRZ/86 carpets suck. Look around the forum, and there are countless people from around the world complaining about premature wear.

Either go aftermarket, or WeatherTech. I love my WeatherTech mats and I'll be using them all year round.

I got the weathertech mats if you wanna call them that. Love them, so easy to clean and I never ever worry about someone getting in my car with dirty feet. One of my favorite mods to date. Defiantly the most functional item I have ever installed on a car.

And I hope that the op realizes Subaru just didnt want to get involved with and lawsuits involving gas pedals. Lol.

I just don't understand why the RHD OEM carpets are so nicely made (i.e. they have a thick rectangular area on the driver mat to mitigate wear).

I finally bought a set of OEM mats from Germany, again so-so quality but at least it seems pretty rugged and the cutout is correct. FRS carpets still have the best quality out of all the LHD ones.

Wore through my stock FRS mats in a few hundred miles.

Got some weathertech mats, they are an awesome fit.

Who needs WeatherTech? When my mats wear out, I'm just going to spray them down with FlexSeal.
