That is true, i'm at 16K and the front is covered from stone chips.

I should post a pic, but i don't want to scare anyone...

Disgusting. I'd rather have stone chips.

At the risk of ruining your paint from the bra flapping against your paint?

If you want that look and want to protect your paint, plasti-dip the bumper. If you just want to protect your paint, get a clear bra that won't rub and flap against your paint.

Those things will save your front from bugs & stone chips but not from any scratching or abrasion or dirt buildup from underneath the material.

There's this thing called clear bra. Best of both worlds. No ugly kinky leather shit for your car's face, and no stone chips.

I dunno it be kinda cool to see one with a mask, not that ther are used anymore these days since clear bra is easier and cost less.

We should all just trade our cars in and get Neons with bras like that. That'd be fantastic.

Definately not worth the abrasion damage that comes with it.
Not to mention when they get wet. I've seen many cases of clear coat discoloration.

I learned my lesson on a round trip from Santa Ana to SanDiego in 97. Morning after I removed the bra to find sand embedded in the backing fabric and it scratched the shit out of my lower front fender and bumper, all the way around.

Clear bra film. And find someone who is good at it. My shop uses a local guy that does all high end cars. All edges wrap around instead of coming up 1/8-1/4" short, and no partial hood/fender BS. Full panel wrap and around the edges. Nobody ever knows its there. I have had my personal gti bumper wrapped for 3 years and about 30k miles with venture shield film. Zero chips or marks, still looks flawless. My frs has a full bumper/hood/fenders/headlights. Looks and works amazing. We used the new Xpel film and its great
