queston about low compression pistons on stock ECU

It may have come up before, but i could not find it.
can you run low compression pistons on stock ECU or pass smog/carb. It's one thing to set up and remove a FI system every couple of years to pass smog. but a lot harder to swap pistons. just curious if we ever want to go that rough.

thx

Depends on what the laws are and how they are being enforced. You are in California, and it is my understanding that they are doing away with tailpipe testing for newer cars.
