Called scion dealer to take FRS in for CEL and SL they don`t have loaner cars.

I always thought dealers suppose to give you loaner car if under warranty. Plus my car probably going to be in shop for weeks waiting on parts from what I read. This stealership is part of sorry sonic group.

This is where calling corporate is due. You should 100% get a loaner for this issue.

Loaners were always a perk of the premium brands, but trickled down a bit when the economy was cranking a few years ago. I'm assuming the lower end brands have cut down on that because I'm seeing more and more of the dealer shuttle vans driving around these days.

Called other scion dealer across town, they told me drop it off and they give me loaner. This is a hendrick dealer alot more customer servive oriented than any sonic group dealer.

Some do, some dont I think...
That is the reason its called a "courtesy car" (courtesy= show of politeness via action)...

I never dealt with a dealer in my short life, and I was first under the naive impression that in such a purchase one would be able to demand a car of equal value (as in, FRS breaks down... you can push your rights for another FRS)

But usually, even if you get a courtesy car, it is the car that has the least probability of being bought of the lot during your repair time (sh1ttiest car on the lot)... as by giving you a loaner, they hurt their chances of making a larger profit. This is also the reason why not all dealerships are obligated to give you that courtesy car.

The luxury brands often use the loaner as a way to give you en extended test drive of a model up from your present one.

You'll spend more than 2 hours trying to arrange alternate transportation.
