Does 18" wheel raise the car?

I am not sure if this is a wheel/tire related topic... Although, my main concern is lowering springs.

I bought Lowering Springs from Tein. I got the Tein-S. It drops the car 1,3" and I am afraid of scrapping lol...

I am wondering if installing 18" wheels raises the car .5 inch? Or in other words, does it raise the car up a little.

I don't want to scrape (DO NOT suggest me not to install lowering springs)

Thanks

What's your tire size?
You can compensate depending on your choice of tire section height.

I am currently on the stock wheel. I am going to upgrade to 18x8.75 and for te tires I will be going 235/35/18r or 235/40/18r

Stock wheel are 215.9 mm (17inch) + 45 mm (tire ratio) = 260.9 mm
With my wheel upgrade and going 35 ration, 228.6 + 35 = 263.6 mm

Which raises the car 3 mm... which is not noticeable

Although, I want to raise the car xD

Tyre profile is not in mm. It's a ratio of width. eg 235/40/18, side profile is 40% of 235mm.

Dude. Spend some time on the tire calculator.

So... By scraping what do you mean? The tire rubbing on the fender? Or the front bumper lip scraping on drive ways?

Now that you mention, both. I was mainly concerned on the front bumper lip scraping on drive ways... but will the tire rub on the fender?

Well, Teins are pretty low springs. If you where scraping on OEM springs you'll scrape more. Just remember to go slowly on drive ways.

As for the taller side wall I'm not too sure it might fit under the spring perch. Like I said spend some time on the tire/wheel calculator

215/40-18 & 245/35-18 will maintain overall diameter and thus ride height so go with one of those sizes. peace. out.

No need to be so hostile. I'm sure he means against speed bumps and going in and out of driveways.

I know, but it was the only one available in Canada. So I bought them lol. I was never scraping on OEM. Although, my driveway is very steep and most places I go to like coffee shops have steep driveway (parking).

I don't want to stretch the tires. I will go with 235/40/18r...

Let him be. I completely ignored him. Yes, I am refereeing to driveways and going in and out steep parking lots.
