Silly question, yes I searched and read manual

I appreciate any input. I have a 2018 Brz all stock as far as audio. I bought it used, and the radio always comes on when the car is started. I can turn it off by holding the power button. Turn car off (push button start model), turn it on and radio is on again. I selected "off" on the driver profile bluetooth auto play, did a factory reset on the system, and still it does it. Turning the volume to zero will keep the radio from being audible but it still comes on. What am I doing wrong?

There is an update from the dealer to fix this. I will post my results after they flash it. I'm told it's a recall.

Did the recall. Now the radio goes off and stays off after holding button down for 2s, and stays off when car restarts, like car radios have done since 1955. Thank goodness.
