how to program new key fob?

I have a new OEM key fob from the dealership and they say it will cost $100 to reprogram the key fobs, is there anyway I can reprogram it myself or do I just have to pay them? I have a 2014 limited brz.

I don't know about Subaru but on the Toyota it's all done with Techstream and it's super easy. The dealers are scamming people for charging so much to pair these things.

You should be able to do it with Techstream.

I remember my '08 Subaru Legacy was like:

Get in the driver Seat
Make sure all doors are closed
Within 45 seconds, open and close the drivers door 1 time
Within 15 seconds, turn the key from lock to on 10 times
Sound will chime
Open and close drivers door once
A Chime will start for 30 seconds
Before the chime stops press the power door lock button the same number of times as the first digit (of 8) of the transmitter code
When finished entering the number, press the unlock button within 5 seconds
Repeat for all other digits
Then Press the unlock button 1 time
Then Repeat entering the 8 numbers AGAIN using the same method as above.
A tone will sound, After tone ends, Start the vehicle,
then turn off
remove key
open and close door

I don't know if the BRZ has any similar stupid way of programming without techstream.
