265/35/18 in the front on a 18x9 wheel.....

Now before you say go search step out of this thread. Please I am not here to waste time, which is Infact why I did not search I have to order tires within the next 30 min.


I have a 265/35/18 on the rear, I am content on the square profile of the tire. Currently have a 245/40/18 on the front however the taller sidewall makes it look fuller and round at the top. 5 min ago I cancelled my order for 235/40, realized I will only be making it worse. My question. Will I be rubbing badly with a 265/35 up front? I am dropped to about 1 finger gap. Will it also make the front look more full? I am wondering if to simply get 245/40 again.

Again I apologize for making a thread on something that has prob been explained a thousand times, it is urgent. Otherwise I would have swapped my real wheels to the front and tried myself.

Edit: here is a pic. I am thinking of simply ordering 265/35/18 for the front as well but scared I will run a lot at this height. I have no fender mods



If you look at it closely watched you will notice what I am trying to fix. The front tire looks bigger than the rear.

Thank you, but I don't have a 9.5 inch wide rim. I have adjustable camber plates upfront and SPC camber bolts

Provided the offset isn't ridiculous, I imagine there would really be much of any issues, considering the fact the car is only lowered about an inch. However, some tires run tall and some run wide etc., so I'm not going to say 100% for sure you'll have no issues.

I doubt you'll be rubbing badly at that height though, especially since you have camber plates up front. You might see some rub under compression, but I don't think it's anything to worry about.

i ran 18x9 +40 with 265/35. At -2.3 camber and about a finger gap, there is minimal rubbing. Can't go full lock while turning because will rub or hit spring, but its still easy to turn around for parking and such. I love the meaty tires.

Im running that size on a 9.5, et38 with -2.8 ish camber just fine

Spring rub at lock but never happens in the real world

They look almost identical in height but I hate the fact that the rear is perfectly squared while the front is more round. Same tire brand and tire too.

So I am 5mm further out than you. Did you have to do any fender mods?

The rears are rolled, but the front fenders not. I did not do any other mod.

from all the pics ive seen.... it just looks like the front wheel well on these cars will always look more "filled" than the rear on a square set up. I chalk it up to the fact that these cars can take more offset in the rear than front.
