FR-S Gas tank problem

Hello guys, I own a 2013 FR-S with 46,000 miles and recently had some issues which I will explain later. First let me tell you that according to my Autonation Toyota and Scion dealership my car was the first in the USA to have this problem and has now been inputted into the worldwide Toyota/Scion FR-S/GT-86 System of problem thingy.

So the problem started out a couple hundred miles after I bought the car (Used). I started to notice that when filling up my car with fuel you could not press the trigger on the pump all the way or else the gas would just spit out of the filler neck, so I just very slowly had to press the trigger and wait for the tank to fill up. One of these days I noticed my tank on 1/4 and went to put gas but it had gotten to the point where you could not even put gas in the tank, so straight away I took it to the dealer, they told me they will look into the problem and that they would call me as soon as they found the problem. They called me the day after and told me my gas tank was already filled up all the way (which there was no way in hell that after 3 days of driving from school and work that the gas tank would be full but they kept insisting it was) and that that's why I haven't been able to pump the fuel into my car and what was "broken" was the thing inside of the gas tank that measures the fuel and that they had changed it and it was "all fixed up".
I went to go pick it up and first thing I noticed was my fuel gauge on 1/4...... they told me my tank was full WTF so I started doubting if they actually fixed anything and went straight to a gas pump to see if I could pump fuel normally, and if I was able to, go reclaim that they had taken my "full tank of gas" and want money for it. But that was not the case, I still couldn't pump gas into my car normally so I want back minutes after in rage to tell them they had not fixed s**t and wanted to speak to the main supervisor. I spoke with the guy and they took my car back and said they would keep looking for the problem. They call me the day after telling me that they had learned something new, its hard to explain so I posted a diagram.

DIAGRAM(http://i.imgur.com/XjE5roU.jpg)

The fuel tank on the passenger side was full the one on the drivers side (Where the gas sensor thing is) was empty because of the rubber hose (which is made so it could bend to where it need to be) was clogged and because of that the gas was not flowing at a fast enough speed to where it could produce the necessary pressure to move the gas to the drivers side also.
(I DIDN'T REALLY UNDERSTAND HOW THE LAST PART WORKS SO GIVE ME A BREAK)

Anyway hope this could help somehow and if you need any clarification on anything please ask or PM me ill try my best.

Your service techs are incompetent. Take your car somewhere else next time.

Only two of those refer to this issue. Not sure that two posts on a forum constitute a "known issue" at the dealer level but good to know what is going on if it happens to me!
Certainly is an odd tank set up. Can't say I am an expert on the design of modern fuel tanks but never seen a split one like that before.

Plenty of cars have split fuel tanks. BMWs and Corvettes have been using them for years...

To be honest never really paid any attention to them at all. Not much needs to be done with them so they are just sortta there. It does make perfect sense to split them to save space and create balance I just never knew.
See I CAN learn after all!
