godSnow pulleys installed

Here are godSnow pulleys installed.

Stock Pulley set up weights 6.25 lbs

New pulleys weight 1.3lbs

To get the old pulleys off I kept the belt on first to get the bolts on the Alt, And Water loosened. I did not need air ratchet on the Alt bolt using this method. I need my trusty 4ft Iron Pipe over my breaker to get the Crank loose. Pulled so much I got the wheels to move slightly then it finally broke

Forgot to take pic with air intake out of the way.

Great way to save nearly 5lbs reciprocating mass. And I don't see the need to spend any more on namebrand pulleys. Overrall quality was very good some slight nicks on the outer edges counted maybe 5 between the 3 pulleys, everything on the belt drive areas where smooth.

I love your upgrades! Reducing that inertia. I'm guessing a light weight driveshaft is in the cards as well? Wonder if all of these things combined - the lightened stuff, tube and filter - will produce a palpable increase in response.

Very nice upgrade for the money, while I don't condone knock offs or cheap parts it is even worse when companies like godsnow buy this put their name on it and mark up the price 2x.

Actually these wheels and tires are next will remove 6lbs per corner.

Then will do these keeping weight in mind
-UEL headers + tune -10lbs
-Front wildwood brake -32
-Lithium battery -25lbs
-rear seat delete - 22lbs
-CF Driveshaft - 10lbs

Want to get close to 2500 lbs 230 crank hp

That's about 100 lb. Should definitely be attainable

These cars start at 2770 so its more like 270 lbs. Still attainable with lighter parts and possibly removing some things

OK I will chalk this up as a lesson learned you get what you pay for. The GodSnow crank pulley has not worked out for me. I was starting to wobble at idle. Ive read just about every thread on what could be wrong . I ordered new crank bolt and oil seal to make sure. Torqued it just like instructions 14.5 ftlbs then another 90 degrees. Still same results.

During my initial install I know the crank end part slid out maybe a 1/4" and I slid it right back in. But became paranoid after reading it cant move at all. Marked its location and bravely removed it to check for burrs. Everything looked great and I slid right back in.

Measured the thickness of both the godsnow and stock pulley. It appears the godsnow is about 2mm thinner on the mounting area which probably caused some space between the pulley and bolt.

Anyways put back on the stock pulley and everything is normal again. Going to fork up the bucks and get something proven like a Perrin. The other 2 pulleys (alt, water) Godsnow are fine and going to keep them.

Good advice. I tried a Perrin pulley for a week. Dumped it for a fluidampr. Best decision ever.

Its heavier than stock but I heard there were gains and smoothed out the motor. Too late I got drunk last night and found a used Raceseng one on ebay for $50

I have a GFB pulley kit and have no problems except that the crank pulley bolt head looks like it's not perfectly centered. Everything else is perfect and the pulley has worked great for the past couple years.

Yeah this GodSnow kit is the GFB knockoff. The bolt is slightly offcentered making it appear wobbly. But in my case the actual pulley was wobbling
