Rear Foglight Enable

I'm not sure if the Scion wiring is really different, but here's what we got in 86es here in the Philippines. Thanks to HRTROB for figuring out the wiring, and Booch for showing me his car as an example. Thank you to AUTOKOZMETIX in Home Depot, Ortigas where we did the install.

This is a DIY on how to enable the rear foglight. The wiring is already in place, and it also has a dedicated relay in the fusebox. Do not hold me liable if things go wrong with your car, I'm only posting this on how we did it. As always, please disconnect your battery first before doing anything with the electrical stuff on your car. Here goes!

Any idea if this works for USD spec FR-S?
I've cant recall seeing those fog light indicators when I turn the key to the second position. If it does work then I will be happy to do this mod for the extra bling it adds to the gauge cluster :-)

Thats the problem. I haven't seen an FR-S in person so I can't really tell. Sorry.

We also don't have a button or switch to turn them on if we had them installed. We FRS's would have to add that as well i'm guessing.

Could be added using the same stalk that adds the fog lights switch, I believe.

You can use the BRZ stalk however, Pin 2 (yellow wire) in the stalk connector is absent from the US spec cars. This wire goes to the BCU to trigger the rear fog relay and light up the rear fog indicator in the cluster. The white wire is for the front fogs; grounding this wire triggers the front fog indicators. You guys in the US will have to wire in a separate relay and figure out which pin in the BCU the yellow wire is supposed to go if you want the yellow rear fog indicator to light up in the cluster. I studied the US BRZ wiring diagram, the rear fog circuitry is completely absent

Also forgot to mention that if you will be using the Euro stalk with the front and rear fog light switch, there is no need to splice or jump together pins 2 and 4 (yellow and white wires) in step 5. Everything will be plug and play. Jumping the 2 wires is only required if you have the stalk with the front fog light switch only, so you can turn the rear fog on and off along with the front fogs
