2017 BRZ MT Drop-In Filter

Anyone know of available drop-in filters for the 2017 BRZ manual?

The 2017 automatic has the same filter design as previous years, but 2017 MT filter is different, and I can't find a drop-in filter yet.

Thanks!

No. Different airbox for 17 manuals.

The 2017 manual car air filter is already a higher flow version than the older stock filters in earlier cars, thier is likely little to be gained changing it

Really? Interesting. Between that and the larger diameter header you would think more then 5hp would be gained unless they kinda detuned it.

it think it was 5 kw
but yeah better header better air filter better intake tube better intake maifold , new fueling strategy it doesnt run pig rich at higher rpm, you would think gain more

but aparanatly its more linear , but they likey had to compply with more stringent emmissions standards so that may have knobbled it a bit who knows

OEM always plays more safe.
As for stricter emission standards, i doubt it. Otherwise why those changes/improvements are not there for AT & for all MY2017 in EUDM?

yeah all guesswork, but i suspect if you bring out a new model it might have to comply with latest standard but maybe for existing model you get some dispensation.

heard roumor that the changes done on engine didnt work well with auto for some reason.

the ecu fueling and timing logic in 2017 manauls is all new, but the auto runs the same old ecu code, its not just tune table changes in mannual ecu it whole new fueling strategy with full time closed loop and two sets of timing and fueling tables

The only major change on the intake side is a different air filter element. I will know by the end of month on whether this is a difference sized filter or not..

Air box location (inlet/outlet) as well as the intake tube (box to throttle body piping) is the same.

Aftermarket intake kits that utilize the stock tube are still the same part number.

They tweaked the intake on the 17 MT quite a bit. Filter size does appear to have changed.
