Is there any power locked up in the stock catback?

I'm planning on going ACE 350 and ACE front pipe, but I cant for the life of me decide on a catback. Is there any power being sacrificed by running the stock catback with this setup?

Also, does anyone happen to have a sound clip of this exact setup?

stock piping diameter is pretty small... you should contact CSG (counter space garage) about the ace stuff. they are huge supporters of them... they could probably also give you help on which catback to go with. I believe they even came out with their own, something that I would look into.

Maybe, but it's small enough of a difference to be within the margin of error for most dynos.

I just installed that same header. I already had the front pipe as well. I have a Invidia Q300 catback on mine so cant comment on what it would sounds like vs stock and if there is any unlockable power in the catback. I can say how ever that it sounds very much like stock at an (warm) idle. Put your foot into it really growls. I have not taken the car out on the road yet at this point but I do have an audio clip of a brief cold start before it drops down to an idle and also have a couple quick revs with the car sitting on jack stands.

Generally speaking, catback exhausts are not the most ideal first modification to unlock major horsepower potential. It is a setup to improve throttle response and quality of sound. The factory catback is fairly efficient in this regard, except for the sporty sound department.

The ACE A350 with stock exhaust is not the best sounding setup ever. The increased flow is sufficient in making some obnoxious sounds as your baffling degrades quickly. We do have the A-350, ACE front pipe, and CSGxMXP TOURING86 exhaust on our boosted car, which has a very clean exhaust note. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to PM us. Thank you!

Good info! Do you have any videos of that car by any chance?

Also, is there a tune out for the ACE 350 on a 2017?

We have some secret stash videos but will not post due to poor video quality. The sound quality is decent and is filmed inside a warehouse. Let's just say the people who are local to us are replacing their exhaust systems with this catback after hearing it in person.

The tune for the ACE A-350 for 2017 is available. Our 2017 BRZ test vehicle was the one used for testing and refinement. Let us know if you're interested in putting everything together. Thanks!

Ooohhh! Can you share the results of that tune? What does the output look like compared to pre-17s?? I'll do my taxes tonight and then let you know, hahaha!

If any of them are replacing a CLEiB catback with the CSG x MXP setup, you can let them know who they can sell their old exhaust to.

The result is in our cutout IG post which is really just with the A-350. There is maybe a 2-5whp difference between the zenki and kouki models at most. Dynos are varied so it's hard to gauge real difference. Unfortunately, that dynojet has seen mostly tuned setups and very few baseline dynos so that point is moot.

We are ready when you are.

Sorry I just can't understand the logic here. Even if the video quality is terrible, you can still extract the audio and post it somewhere, since as you said, the sound quality is decent.

You are selling your own catback, which most people buy it for sound, but refuse to post any sound clips

It hasn't been posted to the public yet, but doesn't mean it hasn't been posted somewhere.

We'll have a very short clip posted to the public soon.
