Evap readiness
I installed a speed by design turbo kit last fall without any prior knowledge of readiness codes and things of that nature
I had the car tuned by Shiv using my OFT and now cannot pass NYS inspection. I am aware that my O2 readiness will remain incomplete because Shiv had to turn the monitoring system for it off (catless) but I cannot figure out why my evap readiness remains incomplete as well, after almost 200 miles since I replaced the battery. This may sounds stupid because of my lack of knowledge of the evap system, but I am curious as to whether the fact that I have dual catch cans venting to atmosphere could be keeping the evap readiness incomplete. As long as I can fix the evap readiness I will be able to pass inspection and my car won't have to spend every day collecting dust in the driveway ![]() I have spent a lot of time searching this forum for the answer to my question and although I did not come across an answer I have noticed that there are a lot of helpful and welcoming members here so I am hoping that someone will be able to give me the answer I am looking for here. |
