Reflector Delete

I have been looking around to see if I can find a way to get rid of that annoying low reflector. I like the look of the smoked out 4th brake light but don't want to deal with wiring and don't really want a light there. Is there anything to achieve the same look without buying a 4th light unit and just not wiring it?

your reverse lights are down there so you probably don't want to remove it. you could always "smoke" the red triangle part to make it seem more hidden (tape off the reverse light sections and hit it with that smoke effect spraycan thing). I am not sure how well it would look though...

I know the 4th brake light installs have reverse lights still but I don't want to spend all that to put it in and not use the light itself.

wait... I am not understanding you. the reverse lights are next to the red triangle OEM, so you are not buying anything to have reverse lights. you can replace it if you want a working 4th brake light, or modify it and insert a bulb into the red triangle to light it up. the reverse lights and the red triangle are all one piece so you can't remove one by itself.

I want something like this but I don't care for the brake light portion to work

Basically just want the area blacked out but still have reverse lights.

Make it look similar to http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2254080
I just hate the reflector and just don't care to have another brake light or even wire it

you can use something like this since it is cheap and reversible if you don't like it:

I would recommend vinyl if you want to have a smoked effect since it is reversible compared to rattle can. only downside is that if you smoke the whole thing the reverse lights might not work that well

I'll think on that. Was just hoping someone knew of a part I could switch it out to that was plug and play to get rid of that annoying reflector.

Buy a 4th brake light, plug in the reverse light harness, don't do any of the other wiring. Boom, plug and play.

Basically, the only "complicated" wiring you need to do with the aftermarket 4th brake lights is the wiring for the brake and running lights. Since you don't want ANY light, you can skip all of that. But if you haven't understood by now, the reverse lights are in the 4th brake light, and that is a simple "plug and play" harness.

You can also install Diode Dynamic's "Tail as Turn +Backup" module and remove the 4th brake light completely. http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/c.../category/622/
