Tein Flex Z Rear Coilover Question

Hello,

Today im trying to install my rear tein flex z coil overs but I cant distinguish anywhere which one is the rear left and which one is the rear right. I got them second hand so they didn't come with an instruction manual so i've been using this post,

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12864

and step 25 states, "...Take note that the rear coilovers are also unique for each side, so pay attention!"

Thanks

I am not aware that the Flex A/Z Coilovers rears were unique. Is there anything indicating that they would be? (Markings, stickers, etchings, etc?). I know the fronts are clearly labeled on the camber plates.

When installing my Flex A's, I don't recall anything in the Tein instructions stating that the rears were specific to any side.

I would recommend contacting Tein directly for a copy of the manual. I have my Flex A manual at home if you can wait

I believe the part number tag will end in a "-L" or "-R" to distinguish them.

@FineVisionz I took a look at my old Flex A photos before the install:
  • My fronts are labeled ZN6/ZC6-FR / VDTD8-11Y46-R and ...-L (Right and Left)
  • My rears are labeled ZN6/ZC6-R / VDTD9-11931 (No left/right distinction)

Might be different for Flex Z. Worth looking at

I just checked my car with flex Z's and it looks like they are marked the same. No indication on the rears as to L/R.

I would say that if there is not factory marking indicating a difference they are likely the same and the comment on that install instruction is just a generic statement as some brands may indicate a difference.

Shouldn't be any difference
