GSpeed Bolt-In Roll Bar

Over the past few months, we've been developing a bolt-in roll bar for the FT86 platform, specifically targeted at the HPDE and Autocross users who need a solid, proper harness mounting location. This bar is 100% bolt-in, and allows the rear seats and interior to remain in place.

It bolts onto the floor right behind the front seats and to the rear wheel wells. Due to the way the chassis is constructed, it makes more sense to mount to the lower section of the floor rather than the "seat shelf" where you're either bolting across a long open space, or welding into the car.

Here's a 3D render, showing the scan of the chassis we used to design the bar, and the mounting points.

(Note: Threaded harness attachments points shown above were omitted for production.)

We recently renegotiated our shipping arrangements, and are now able to offer free shipping, anywhere in the lower 48 United States via UPS.

The price has also been updated to $1399.

It can be found on our website here: https://gspeed.com/product/ft86-bolt-in-roll-bar/

Is this legal for NASA & SCCA?
Yes, it is legal for HPDE and some time trial classes. It is not for any series that require a full roll cage, and can not be welded in place to become a full cage later. Due to the necessary inclination of the main hoop to clear the driver's head, it would not be rules compliant for a full cage.

Can the car still be driven on the street?
Yes. The bar is clear of the front side impact air bags, and far behind the driver's head. Stock seats will still fit just fine, although 1.5" of rearward travel is lost on the driver's side.

Does it come in any color other than black?
Yes, we can powdercoat or paint any color you'd like, just contact us directly to place your order.

How close is the harness bar to the rear seat back? It almost looks like I could still fit the baby seat behind me with this installed

It's got a few inches, but I can't remember exactly. I think that would fall in the "not recommended" category.
